Likely as not it will all be toss and go
Yet bothering to keep up appearances
Without delving too much into the why

For relationships are hard to handle
A person can change like a flickering candle
And people never do remain the same
Adjustment is but the most played game

Loyalties stay only as long as circumstances
Waxing and waning and finally fading out
Indeed lucky are those who have cause to doubt
The wisdom of relying on humans for wellness
